Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” Impact on NFL Schedule Revealed

The NFL schedule for the 2024 season has been impacted by none other than pop superstar Taylor Swift. Swift’s “Eras Tour,” which kicked off in March 2023 and is set to conclude in December, includes a whopping 152 shows, most of which are being held in football and baseball stadiums across North America.

As Swift’s tour returns to the United States later this year, it coincides with the 2024 football campaign, causing some scheduling conflicts for NFL teams. NFL vice president of programming Mike North confirmed that Swift’s tour played a role in the league’s scheduling decisions.

One of the most notable conflicts is when Swift will be performing at the homes of the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, and Indianapolis Colts in consecutive weekends from mid-October to early November. Interestingly, each of these teams will be on the road during Swift’s concerts in their respective cities.

In a twist of fate, Swift will also be performing in Toronto’s Rogers Centre from Nov. 14 to 23, while her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, will be playing nearby in Buffalo. Despite the apparent overlap, North insists that it is merely a coincidence.

Last year, Swift performed in 20 NFL stadiums and even managed to attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas after a show in Tokyo within a 24-hour span. Rogers Centre is the only MLB stadium on Swift’s tour this year.
