Allegations of Sexual Assault Against NFL Kicker Brandon McManus and Jacksonville Jaguars Lead to Lawsuit
The NFL world is rocked by shocking allegations as two women have filed a lawsuit against NFL kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars over claims of sexual assault during a team flight to London last season. According to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, the lawsuit alleges that the flight quickly turned into a party as McManus and other players disregarded personal space, air travel safety, and federal law.
The lawsuit also claims that McManus recruited three other flight attendants to the party and passed out $100 bills to encourage inappropriate behavior. An attorney for McManus has called the claims “absolutely fictitious,” while the Washington Commanders, McManus’ current team, have stated that they are taking the allegations very seriously and are looking into the matter.
The Jaguars have also issued a statement regarding the lawsuit. The two women, identified as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II, have detailed their alleged experiences with McManus during the flight. They claim to have suffered severe mental anguish and other mental health issues since the incidents and are seeking around $1 million in damages.
McManus, who spent the 2023 season with the Jaguars after playing nine years with the Denver Broncos, has agreed to a $3.6 million deal with the Commanders for the 2024 season. The NFL community is closely following this developing story as more details emerge.
