Kelly Osbourne Opens Up About Weight Loss Journey and Defends Use of Medication
Kelly Osbourne, the podcast host and daughter of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, recently spoke out about her post-baby weight loss journey. The 39-year-old mother, who was seen out for a family dinner with her partner Sid Wilson and their son Sidney, revealed that she lost 85 pounds on her own, without the help of any medication.
Addressing rumors that she had turned to the diabetes type II medication Ozempic for weight loss, Kelly clarified that she had never taken the drug. She also defended those who do choose to use medication to help with weight loss, citing her mother Sharon Osbourne’s success with the GLP-1 drug.
Sharon Osbourne, 71, revealed that she had lost 42 pounds using the GLP-1 drug, which has gained popularity among celebrities like Oprah Winfrey. Despite no longer taking the medication herself, Sharon praised its benefits and called it a “miracle drug.”
Kelly Osbourne expressed confusion over the criticism some people face for using weight loss medication, stating, “If you need to lose some weight, who cares how you do it, as long as you’re doing it in a healthy way.” She shared that she achieved her weight loss by cutting out sugar and carbohydrates.
In addition to her dietary changes, Kelly admitted to using supplements like peptides and vitamins to aid in her weight loss journey. Peptides such as Semaglutide, Liraglutide, and Tirzepatide have been shown to help with weight loss and curb food cravings.
Overall, Kelly Osbourne’s openness about her weight loss journey and her support for those who choose to use medication for weight loss have sparked a conversation about the different paths to achieving a healthy weight.
