Miami Dolphins 2024 Training Camp Battles: Running Backs, Offensive Tackles, and Wide Receivers

The Miami Dolphins are gearing up for an exciting 2024 NFL season with some intriguing position battles to watch during training camp. One of the most anticipated battles is at the running back position, where Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane are vying for the starting role.

Mostert, the veteran back, outgained Achane by 402 yards in the 2023 season and had more carries and touchdowns. However, Achane showed promise with his speed and efficiency, averaging more yards per carry and receptions than Mostert. With one full year in the NFL under his belt, Achane is poised to challenge Mostert for the starting role this season.

In addition to the running back battle, the Dolphins also have questions to address at offensive tackle, with rookie Patrick Paul looking to make an impact. Paul, the 55th overall pick, is a developmental prospect who could compete with Austin Jackson for the right tackle position.

Furthermore, the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. to the Dolphins’ receiving corps adds another layer of competition. Beckham was signed to be the No. 3 pass-catcher behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but Braxton Berrios could challenge him for playing time. Berrios, younger and faster than Beckham, has the potential to outperform the veteran receiver if he has a strong training camp.

Overall, the Dolphins are set for an exciting summer of competition as players vie for starting positions and roles within the team. Stay tuned for updates on these intriguing position battles as training camp progresses.
