Gov. Kristi Noem’s New Book to Correct False Anecdote about Kim Jong-un Meeting
The upcoming release of Gov. Kristi Noem’s new book, “No Going Back,” has been met with controversy as it was revealed that the biography contains false anecdotes that will be corrected in future editions.
One of the false anecdotes includes a story about a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, which a spokesman for Ms. Noem confirmed was inaccurate. Additionally, there was an error regarding a phone call with Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor, which will also be corrected in the book.
Despite these corrections, the book has already sparked heated discussions due to a grisly excerpt in which Ms. Noem describes killing a family dog. The controversy surrounding the book has overshadowed its intended purpose of boosting Ms. Noem’s profile as a potential running mate for former President Donald J. Trump.
In response to the backlash, Ms. Noem defended her decision to include the story about shooting the dog, Cricket, in the book, stating that it was meant to showcase the tough decisions she has had to make throughout her life.
As the release date of “No Going Back” approaches, the focus remains on the corrections that will be made to the book and the ongoing debate surrounding its content.
