Heidi Gardner jokes about being in bed with Travis Kelce on SNL and reveals his game day snack habits

Saturday Night Live star Heidi Gardner has jokingly apologized for being in bed with NFL star Travis Kelce during his hosting gig on the iconic show last year. The actress and comedian revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets about Kelce, including his game day snack of choice – Uncrustables.

Kelce, who hosted SNL after the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2023, earned rave reviews for his performance. One of the hilarious sketches in the episode featured Kelce in bed with Gardner as her Hinge date unexpectedly interrupted them.

Gardner, who felt protective of Kelce, shared that he loves to eat Uncrustables on game day. She even went out and bought some for him before the show to make him feel at home. Despite the comedic sketch involving them in bed together, Gardner made it clear that it was all in good fun.

Additionally, Gardner revealed that she had to convince SNL creator Lorne Michaels to have Kelce as a host, with Michaels insisting that Kelce had to “win the Super Bowl” first. Kelce did just that and was given the hosting duties on March 4, 2023.
